BayWa r.e. acquires pipeline of wind energy projects in Italy
BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH (BayWa r.e.) and Hideal Partners have concluded a transaction whereby BayWa r.e. acquired a pipeline of 6 wind energy projects in Italy, comprising a total capacity of approximately 210 MW. The wind farms are situated in the regions of Lazio, Puglia, Campania and Sardinia.
Once finished, the wind farms will supply clean energy to approximately 140,000 households. The transaction represents another milestone for BayWa r.e., as Italy is one of the key markets in Europe for wind energy. Apart from wind energy, BayWa r.e. is also active in other business fields of renewable energies in Italy, e.g. solar energy.
BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of BayWa AG (Munich), is responsible for BayWa group’s renewable energy business.
