ItalyThe solar park located in the municipality of Cerrione, in the province of Biella, was built in 2023 and is the first solar park in Italy.
The electricity produced by the plant meet the energy needs of 4,000 households.
The construction work was fully on schedule and was finalised as planned by the summer of 2023.
The solar park features the installation of 12,000 photovoltaic panels with a total peak power rating of 6.5 MW. The panels were installed on trackers, structures that track the position of the sun and optimise energy production.
The solar park is located on industrial land owned by Società Aeroporto Cerrione s.r.l. and thanks to the signing of a 30-year agreement, BayWa r.e. benefits from the right of surface.
