BayWa r.e. has announced the completion of the construction works for the solar park located in the municipality of Cerrione, in the province of Biella. The construction works were fully on schedule and will be finalized, as planned, within the summer of 2023.
This is the first solar park constructed in Italy; the electricity produced by the plant will be enough to supply 4,000 households.
The solar park is characterized by the installation of 12,000 photovoltaic panels with a total nominal peak power of 6.5 MWp. The panels were installed on trackers, structures that track the position of the sun and optimize the energy production.
The solar park is located on industrial land owned by Società Aeroporto Cerrione s.r.l. and BayWa r.e. will have, thanks to the signing of an agreement, the surface rights for 30-year.
