BayWa r.e. participates in the Supplier Development Program

Among other purposes, the project has aims to make business processes more efficient, increase technical and managerial skills also at the technological level, ensure the sustainability of investments and guarantee correct ethical behavior in economic relations.

BayWa r.e. will be one of the very few Enel partners for the supply of technical training on photovoltaic and wind technologies, with a focus on plant management and maintenance processes.

Through this initiative, Enel aims to support the growth of the supply chain and strengthen the reliability and qualification of its suppliers periodically checking and measuring their performance and promoting the sustainable development of the companies with which it collaborates.

This initiative is of historical importance and involved, on the day of its inauguration, leading personalities in the Italian economics fields such as Stefano Buffagni, Deputy Minister for Economic Development; Maurizio Marchesini, Vice President of Confindustria's Supply Chain and Medium-Sized Enterprises as well as Francesco Starace, Enel's Chief Executive Officer and General Manager and Salvatore Bernabei, Enel's Global Procurement Director.

The program will make its debut in Italy and will be extended, in the coming months, to the countries in which the Group is active and is aimed at about 400 suppliers operating in strategic sectors for the Enel group.

The selected companies will have access, at advantageous conditions, to a series of services offered by partners with whom Enel has signed collaboration agreements, including the main banks for the supply of financial services, the most important business schools for the offer of training services, the main players for technical training and with consultancy companies able to support Enel suppliers in the implementation of processes related to the circular economy, internationalization, M&A and open Innovation.
