Energy System Services, the Italian company active in the epc of electromechanical and civil works for both wind and pv plants and in the maintenance of wind farms, is happy to announce that finally some laptops donated to charity have arrived at their final destination in Malawi.
The laptops, fully functional but not compliant with BayWa r.e. IT network, have been delivered at a school and a health care where, recently, Sopowerful, the foundation of our former colleague Stefano Cruccu, was able to bring stable power to ensure basic services such as electricity and running water.
Francesco Liuzzi (Managing Director): “We are very pleased to have been able to deliver these laptops to those who, in addition to basic goods, also need technological support to which they have difficult access. We want to emphasize BayWa r.e. commitment in supporting initiatives towards those who are considered “last” in the social pyramid but who have enormous potential for growth and welfare if only they had the right support. We hope we have contributed, even if to a small extent, to make life easier for these two communities."
The school is located in Mangochi and hosts over 200 children. Learning how to use the laptops will open new opportunities for the kids and enable them to learn about many subjects.
The health center is located in Dowa and takes care of around 12.000 patients per year. The medical team can now, through the use of the laptops, better perform administration of the patients and digitalize things such as medicine stock.
Stefano Cruccu (Sopowerful): “I was happy when Francesco asked me to find a relevant destination for these laptops. Now some children will be able to learn new subjects and make new discoveries through the use of these computers, while at the health center this is indispensable equipment for providing good medical care. I’m very glad my former colleagues came up with this idea and put the efforts to make this happen!”
